09.02.21 Notre quatorzaine au Preskil Island Resort se termine déjà… Nous sommes un couple avec deux enfants de 10 et 13 ans. Notre séjour était parfait, nous n’avons pas vu le temps passer! Le transfert aéroport-hôtel a été aussi très bien organisé, bus confortable et climatisé.

Chambres confortables, propres et bien équipées, jardin, vue mer, wifi. Repas excellents et copieux (même trop, nous avons demandé une réduction des quantités). Chaque jour réservait une surprise organisée par l’hôtel: concerts live , distribution de glaces, cocos , Zumba ,… sans oublier les activités journalières distribuées par le kids club pour les enfants!

Un Grand Merci à toute l’équipe très agréable et attentionnée, toujours prête à rendre service Spéciale dédicace à Jean-Isabelle, Gérald, Herman, Alex, Decraj, Adrien, Angeline, ainsi qu’aux talentueux musiciens et au chef cuisinier.Pour tous ceux qui hésitent encore, vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés! 22.01.21 Bonjour notre quatorzaine touche à sa fin demain et j’aimerai partager notre expérience au Preskil hôtel. Pour mes enfants et moi,nous avons eu deux chambres très spacieuses et mes parents avaient une chambre très grande.

Le service était excellent surtout grâce à Gérald qui était très gentil avec mes enfants et faisait la causette toujours a mon fils qui avait besoin de communiquer (il leur a même offert des cadeaux) chacune de nos requêtes ont été traitées et j’avais souvent des appels du service client pour savoir si tout allait bien.

Les plats mauriciens étaient convenables. Jessica du kids club nous envoyait tous les jours une activité hyper intéressante pour les enfants ce qui m’a permis de les occuper de manière ludique. J’ai pu avoir du matériel pour mon sport et nous avions un cours de Zumba et un groupe qui venait chanter alors je pense que nous étions vraiment dans une prison de luxe .

Je tiens vraiment à remercier cette équipe qui devait aussi faire la quatorzaine et donc ne voyait pas sa famille afin de respecter les règles. 04.01.21 Au moment où ma quarantaine touche à sa fin, je tiens à remercier chaleureusement :- le staff du Preskil qui nous apporte nos délicieux repas avec toujours un petit mot gentil et, entre autres : Deeraj, Balram, Kooshal, Gerald, Heman, Arjun, Jean-Pierre, Gurish … sans oublier bien sûr le chef Vivek – le service clientèle qui nous téléphone tous les jours avec bonne humeur pour prendre de nos nouvelles et s’inquiète de savoir s’il est possible de faire quelque chose pour améliorer notre séjour alors que tout est déjà parfait : Sorenza, Emilie, Katriana, Levena et Juliana – et la direction de l’hôtel et le staff médical, notamment Gour, sans qui rien de tout cela ne serait possible

A la lecture de l’ensemble de vos publications, il ne fait pas de doute qu’il existe plusieurs très bons hôtels où effectuer une quarantaine à Maurice. Pour les futurs arrivants, voici à mon sens trois bonnes raisons de choisir le Preskil si celui-ci fait partie des choix possibles au moment de votre réservation:

1. Le Preskil a été rénové l’an passé et tout y est comme neuf : les chambres sont modernes et bien équipées;
2. L’’hôtel est à quelques minutes seulement de l’aéroport. Le transfert est très rapide et c’est un vrai plus compte tenu de la longueur du voyage et de la fatigue ajoutée par les contraintes sanitaires actuelles;
3. L’hôtel est situé tout près de la zone où le Wakashio s’est échoué en juillet dernier. Certes, il n’en reste quasi plus de trace aujourd’hui mais il me semble utile de contribuer modestement à la reprise économique de cette région si durement éprouvée.

Enfin, je vous remercie tous pour vos publications qui ont rythmé ma quarantaine. Grâce au groupe, on se sent moins seul. Un merci tout particulier à Catherine LeClézio d’avoir eu l’idée de le créer. Je continuerai à vous suivre! Bon courage à tous ceux qui commencent leur quarantaine ou envisagent de venir à Maurice actuellement! 19.12.20 Preskil Island Resort: Massive thanks for the 2 weeks of Quarantine at this wonderful place. The team at Preskil have been incredible in making these 14 days enjoyable and a big shout out to every single one of them. My wife and I were required to work during our quarantine, and our working patterns meant long hours with the day in virtual meetings. I did flag this to the Preskil team when booking online and Vincent, Krishna & the team went out of their way to make us feel comfortable from Day 1.

Preskil provided us with a Family Room which has an additional room – this was key in allowing us to work without disturbing each other. Before flying in, we had asked if it was possible to set up a private and secure internet connection for our quarantine period and Preskil set us up with an Emtel Airbox broadband (at a fee) which was already in the room when we checked in. I was additionally provided with a screen during the 14 days for work purposes. I cannot thank the Preskil Team enough for going this extra mile.

The Room was amazing – spacious, ground floor, sea view with a garden. It was clean and nicely furnished with everything you need for the 14 days. On the way home now, but definitely going to miss this place, which has provided us with a different and very relaxing working environment. 19.12.20 Preskil Island Resort, massive thanks for the 2 weeks of Quarantine at this wonderful place. The team at Preskil have been incredible in making these 14 days enjoyable and a big shout out to each and every one of them: Chef Vivek for offering such a plethora of food selection, the medical team (Pain-free nasal swab) and for checking up on us daily, the Guest Relationship team for their daily calls to ensure everything is going to perfection, the team bringing us food in a timely manner (Gerald, Benoit, Kushal & Arjun) and last but not the least, the IT Manager (Ishwan).

19.12.20 My final few hours at Preskil Island Resort. What a place to have my quarantine. So many things to mention, like it has been my:

1. Office: Super-fast Wi-Fi and spacious living space to organise my days;
2. My bar: Fresh Coconut delivered as a surprise plenty of water throughout the day;
3. Live entertainment: Music and requests played by professionals outside my window;
4. My home cinema: Wide selection of live football games and movies;
5. My gym: large amount of outside exercise space and trained every day;
6. My local Restaurant: Great selections of foods;
7. My SPA: with a great bath and washroom facilities.

New friends: All staff are amazing and well worth a shout out, all amazing and so friendly always talk to me and help me learn new French Creole words !!!  Contributor: Krishna Sanmuthiya

20.11.20 J7 quatorzaine au Preskil Island Resort et franchement je suis très heureuse de ce choix. Nous sommes un couple avec 2 enfants. Nous avons une suite familiale composée de 2 chambres. Cet hôtel n’est qu’à 15 minutes de l’aéroport et pour les enfants c’est idéal après le long voyage en avion. Dès notre arrivée nous sommes choyés Mon mari est intolérant au lactose et il a des repas adaptés à chaque repas de la journée. Ils sont aux petits soins avec nous. Pour notre accueil, le checkin s’est fait d’un côté séparé prévu pour les familles et donc aucune attente. Le personnel est très à l’écoute… et les repas sont excellents Notre chambre est belle et très propre. Nous avons tout le nécessaire dès notre arrivée, avec des petits cadeaux pour les enfants (un carnet à remplir et une paire de tong). J’ai demandé à la réservation par mail une chambre avec jardin et ils ont accepté, c’est un luxe car les enfants peuvent jouer dehors et moi je commence à faire bronzette. Dernière info : le wifi. Il est très bien et permet de travailler à distance (zoom, Skype). N’hésitez pas à les choisir pour votre quatorzaine. Contributor Amel Rachem

19.11.20 Day 7: I don’t regret a second I chose Preskil. I can’t stop thanking all the people who shared their dairies on the group, which helped me made my choice. I don’t regret a second! A big thank you to the staff, from chef to receptionist, waiters bringing the food, and the medical staff: we are all so comfortable here, their sense of caring, they make you feel at home – any request; they make their best for you.

Good and lots of food served every day. Never forget to be grateful, even if it’s a tiny thing that brings a small change in your life. Positive attitude=happy life.Sweet dreams to you all.. Days are going faster than expected.

18.11.20 Can we rate that stay a 5 Star Plus, special thanks to the Preskil team doing everything possible to make this stay memorable. 27.10.20 Nous sommes arrivées ma fille de 8 ans et moi, hier à Mru après un très long vol: Paris / la Réunion avec Air Austral, puis Réunion / Maurice avec Air Mauritius J’attire votre attention sur le fait qu’Air Austral ne tolère aucun excédent de bagages!

Le vol Réunion /Maurice avec Air Mauritius était vraiment lunaire. Nous étions une trentaine de passagers, tous, regroupés au fond de l’avion. Pendant ce vol de 30 minutes (qui je rappelle m’a couté le quart de mon billet Paris/Réunion), nous n’avons même pas eu le droit à un verre d’eau. Absolument rien, juste les consignes de sécurité 

A la sortie de l’avion à l aéroport, tout était bien organisé et rapide. Nous avons été pris en charge très rapidement par le personnel à terre. Il est nécessaire d’être vigilant à bien remplir tous les documents demandés pour le Covid. Nous avons eu le droit au test PCR à l’aéroport. J’ai refusé que le test soit fait de la même façon pour ma fille. J’en garde franchement un très mauvais souvenir! Le test a été fait dans la gorge pour ma fille mais ils n’ont aucune douceur pour les effectuer! Après avoir récupéré les bagages à l aéroport, nous avons été escortés en bus par la police à notre hôtel le Preskil!

Le comité d’accueil était impressionnant mais rien à redire sur leur gentillesse et leur organisation. Après quelques démarches administratives très rapides, nous avons pu rejoindre nos chambres! Ma chambre est spacieuse, joliment décorée, avec des produits ménagers mis à notre disposition, du thé, de l’eau, du sucre. La la salle de bains est magnifique, composée d une douche et d’une grande baignoire et d’ une super vue sur la mer! Le personnel est aux petit soins. Ils nous appellent tous les jours pour prendre de nos nouvelles, nous proposer les menus du lendemain. Si quelquechose ne nous plaît pas, ils feront le maximum pour nous trouver une solution. Tout est servi en barquettes cartonnées mais des assiettes sont à disposition dans notre chambre. Les petits déjeuners, déjeuners, goûters et dîners sont copieux et très bons. Merci à toute l équipe!

Chaque matin, ils viennent nous prendre la température vers 8:00 puis reviennent à 17:30 et le prochain test PCR que je redoute, est planifié dans 6 jours maintenant. Voilà un bref résumé de ces 2 jours de quarantaine au Preskil hôtel. Véronique Lefort.

14.10.20 We are a Mauritian couple in quarantine at Preskil Island Resort since Saturday 10 October. We thought to experience the quarantine for some days before we could provide our humble views on relevant aspects to those interested in opting for this place.

Check-In: Well-organized and systematic. Staff: Friendly, ever-ready to assist and caring. Surroundings: Quiet and peaceful. Room: Very clean, spacious, pleasant interior, mind-blowing sea view, amenities more than adequate, mini bar loaded, strong WI-FI connection (suitable for online working). Food: Delivered on time, menu available on a smart TV, delicious, hygienically packed, temperature from hot to warm*, healthy and appropriate for limited physical movement (from a Nutritionist’s point of view), daily 3L bottled water per person. Our personal tip to maintain the food temperature: as we like to have our food on the terrace, we have thought of a tip to maintain the food temperature which works pretty well and we thought it might be useful to others as well. As the food delivery is almost around the same time every day, so we wrap our ceramic plates in a hot towel some 15 minutes before.Requests: Considered and executed promptly. We thank Preskil Team for their dedication and effort for ensuring we spend our days safely and comfortably. Wishing a smooth and healthy stay to all present and future quarantiners across Mauritius!
